What is Form 4-A Used for?
This Form is used for applying for permanent residence in Singapore by professionals, technical personnel, skilled workers and their families.
Is Form 4-A Accompanied by Other Forms?
There are two types of additional documents, required by the Immigration & Checkpoint Authority — mandatory and additional. The first type is for applying for yourself. Those include following papers:
- Valid travel documents and photocopies passport
- Employment Pass or S Pass
- Birth certificate or official household census list or family register
- Identity card (if applicable)
- All educational certificates
- Deep poll or change of name certificate
- Playlist for leis 6 months
- Testimonials from previous employers (is applicable)
- Income Tax Notice of Assessment for the last 3 years or Appendix — 1(PR-PTS)
If an applicant is self-employed person, Valid Business Registration Certificate and major business contracts/invoices and receipts for the last 3 months are required as well
Additional papers are requested if an applicant whether is married or has child/children. Those may be found on the Immigration & Checkpoint Authority official website.
When is Form 4-A due?
The Form 4-A may be filed any time while working in Singapore on an Employment Pass or S Pass.
What Information Should I Provide in Form 4-A?
Most information provided in the Form 4-A is a data from document that accompany Form 4-A. However, there is a passpot-sized color photograph required as well. In addition, you should mention the race and religion (denomination). All the other information is about education, marital status, salary etc. All the information is taken from added papers.
Where do I send Form 4-A?
After filling a Form 4-A, you should file it to the Immigration & Checkpoint Authority.
