Hi my name is Bob Stevenson I have a company called pool inspections plus one to put together a short video here just showing you what our swimming pool inspection report consists of first a little history I started in the pool business in 1975 built and installed pools for about 20 years until my knees said no more Bob, so I kind of transferred into the sales and service part of the industry I started getting a fair number of calls mainly from home buyers asking if I did swimming pool inspections at the time I had no idea what that even was, so I did my own research there were a couple companies doing swimming pool inspections at the time there was a one-page report both skimmers look good no drain cover heat exchanger just a colored pump sounds fine multi-port leaks another company had a two-page report basically a checklist everything is fair one thing is poor, but overall everything seems to be in pretty good shape thought to myself boy there's got to be a better way so over time this was developed, and we'll go through it quickly here first we go into the inspector information client information a statement stating that it is a visual inspection we look at the general swimming pool data take a couple digital pictures from each angle the size the shape the link the width the amount of gallons and the light we go into the swimming pool structure basically what the walls are made out of and the interior finish whether it's straight or level there are any divots or imperfections or staining anything on the physical interior of the pool we go into the swimming pool accessories it's a larger area it could be stairs ladders auto covers lights many items we take digital pictures of the areas especially the areas of concern list each and every item after each section product numbers manufacturer's numbers conditions of each part of that item we make comments after each section read as general comments helpful hints maintenance maybe blue areas or more serious probably something that needs to be dealt with we go into the circulation pump and motor open it up look at it internally list all the manufacturers specs horse powers and the like take digital pictures especially of the areas that are of concern again comments after each section read general blue more serious in nature probably should be dealt with soon we look into the water filter that's on the system the type the brand again the specs the multi-port valve going in and out the plumbing connections the pressure gauge and state if there are any issues with the water filter itself we look at the water heater the gas lines going in and out the electric lines we fire the heater up to see if it's operating properly look internally open up the top again manufacturers products number ages conditions of the heater itself well we than look at the swimming pool decking or the area that surrounds the pool whether it be concrete or wood or pavers or carpeting or in general comments of the area that...
