This so-called 50/75 rule can create confusion for employers that have 50 or more employees total but with no locations that have 50 workers within a 75-mile radius.
To qualify for Family Leave Insurance in 2022, you must have worked 20 weeks earning at least $240 weekly, or have earned a combined total of $12,000 in the base year. The wages earned during your base year will determine the amount of weekly benefits you may receive, and the total amount you can claim in a given year.

To apply for leave under FMLA, contact the personnel office of your employer agency. If eligible and approved, the personnel office will provide to the Fund's administrative office the appropriate information for continuation of Fund benefits.
