Questions & answers

Below is a list of the most common customer questions.
If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
The Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL) in Canada had the largest carbon capture and storage capacity of all operational CCS facilities worldwide as of July 2023, at 14.6 million metric tons per year (Mtpa).
They fall into three categories: post-combustion carbon capture (the primary method used in existing power plants), pre-combustion carbon capture (largely used in industrial processes), and oxy-fuel combustion systems. For post-combustion carbon capture, CO₂ is separated from the exhaust of a combustion process.
Saline aquifers. Deep saline aquifers are underground geological formations; vast expanses of porous, sedimentary rock, which are filled with salt water. CO2 can be injected into these and stored permanently in fact, saline aquifers have the largest identified storage potential among all other forms of engineered CCS
The most commonly used technologies of CO2 separation can be divided ing to the physical and chemical nature of the process into the following categories: chemical absorption, physical absorption, adsorption, membrane filtration and cryogenic processes.
Direct air capture is one of today's most promising carbon removal technologies. We're continually researching and developing ours with a world-class team of over 150 engineers.
Direct Air Capture Carbon capture is more efficient when it is used on sources with high concentrations of carbon dioxide, like the gas released during ethanol production, which is almost entirely CO2. Cement production releases a gas that is around 15 percent carbon dioxide.
One candidate is metal-organic frameworks, or MOFs. This porous material can selectively absorb carbon dioxide. MOFs have three kinds of building blocks in their molecules — inorganic nodes, organic nodes and organic linkers. These can be arranged in different relative positions and configurations.
Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) is an advanced iteration of the traditional Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology. While CCS focuses mainly on the capture and sequestration of carbon dioxide to mitigate emissions, CCUS takes a step further by finding practical applications for the captured carbon.
