A Billing Agreement allows a seller to charge your PayPal account when you purchase goods from them or use their service. An example of this would be an agreement to pay eBay seller fees for listing items on eBay. Billing Agreements are different from subscriptions.
Sign in to your PayPal account. Click Profile. Click My Money. Under "My Pre-Approved Payments," click Update. Select a merchant's name to see the associated PayPal Billing Agreement Number.
Click the word Cancel under the preapproved payment. A prompt will appear that asks you to confirm the payment cancellation. Click Cancel payment to complete the process and cancel the PayPal transaction.
On the Activity page, locate the pending payment. Click Cancel. On the next page click Cancel Payment.
Authorization expiration time frames You can still attempt to capture funds for up to 29 days after a successful authorization, but PayPal can't ensure that 100% of the funds will be available after the 3-day honor period. After 29 days, the transaction will appear as Authorization Expired in the Braintree gateway.
An authorization places a hold on the funds. An authorization period is for 29 days; which means you have up to 29 days to capture the payment for the authorization.
Tips and Pending Authorizations Once the final bill with the tip included is submitted, settling the transaction and removing the pending authorization takes 1 to 3 days.
Pending authorization usually means your payment is still reviewed by PayPal, normally it'll take up to 2-3 days to process. Once the transaction is processed, you'll receive your confirmed order email.
