Open any table that contains a date field. Click the table design view. Select the date/time field. In the field properties section at the bottom of the design view screen, make the following changes: Choose your date/time Format. Set the Default Value to =Date().
On the Create tab, in the Tables group, click Table. Click Save , and in the Save As dialog box, enter a name for the new table. Right-click the document tab for the new table and click Design View. In the Field Name column, select the first blank row, and then type a name for the field.
Open the table in Design View. In the upper section of the design grid, select the Date/Time field that you want to format. In the Field Properties section, click the arrow in the Format property box, and select a format from the drop-down list.
