Document Signing and Editing Issues I just spent about an hour or so with Kara, one of your most helpful and patient online chat professionals. I was in the process of completing a contract and addendums where my Buyer was pressing me. I sent it out to my Seller and the Buyer once and ran into a number of editing and fillable field issues. So I recalled it. Kara took me step by step through each issue and patiently explained everything to me via zoom and screen share. Click "Options" at the bottom of the "File" pane. A pop-up "Word Options" window opens. Click the "Display" button on the top-left side of the "Word Options" window. Click the box next to "Paragraph marks" to remove the check from the box.
Make sure you have Word set to display text that is formatted as hidden. Use Find and Replace (Ctrl+F) to locate the index entry you want to delete. Select the entire field, including the field braces, and press Del. The index entry is deleted. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each entry you want to delete.
Step 1: Click Home tab, click Replace in Editing panel (or press Ctrl+H); Step 2: Place cursor into Find What box, select Endnote Mark from Special drop down list; Step 3: Click Replace All button. Word will find and remove all endnotes within document via Find and Replace function.

Click on Word Options. In the left pane of the Word Options dialog, click on Display. Locate the Paragraph marks option under the Always show these formatting marks on the screen section and uncheck the checkbox beside it to have Word hide the symbols.
Click the top menu item Tools->Options. Click View. Look for 'Formatting Marks', and uncheck the option 'All' Click OK.

To show the formatting marks: Press Control+Shift+*. Press those three keys again to hide the formatting marks. Alternatively, click the paragraph symbol in the Paragraphs section of the Home tab:
From the Word menu, select Preferences.... Select View. In the section titled "Nonprinting characters", check or uncheck the appropriate boxes to view the marks of your choice. Check All to see all formatting marks. To save your changes, click OK.
