Open the MS Word 2007 or 2010. Go To File> Options. On the Word Option screen, click on Display. On right side under Always show these formatting marks on the screen, deselect all the check boxes like below. Click OK.
Click the top menu item Tools->Options. Click View. Look for 'Formatting Marks', and uncheck the option 'All' Click OK.
Click on Word Options. In the left pane of the Word Options dialog, click on Display. Locate the Paragraph marks option under the Always show these formatting marks on the screen section and uncheck the checkbox beside it to have Word hide the symbols. Click on OK and the change you have made will be applied.
Click the "Display" button on the top-left side of the "Word Options" window. Click the box next to "Paragraph marks" to remove the check from the box.
Select the text in which you want to remove symbols, by default they will be removed from the whole document. 2. On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Replace: Or click Ctrl+H.
Turn off the display of formatting marks On the File tab, under Help, click Options > Display . Under Always show these formatting marks on the screen, clear the check box for each formatting mark that you don't always want to be displayed on the screen .
On the File tab, click Options > Proofing. Under When correcting spelling and grammar in Word, clear the check box next to an item you want to turn off.
Make sure you have Word set to display text that is formatted as hidden. Use Find and Replace (Ctrl+F) to locate the index entry you want to delete. Select the entire field, including the field braces, and press Del. The index entry is deleted. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each entry you want to delete.
To remove editor comments, open your document in Microsoft Word 2016 and click on the Review tab. In the screenshot below, the Track Changes icon is illuminated, indicating that the Track Changes feature is enabled. Click on the Track Changes icon to disable Track Changes.
