To view request contents in SoapUI, simply double-click the request in the Navigator panel on the left: The editor toolbar displays the request method (verb), endpoint and resources names, and query parameters. The left part of the editor displays the request contents, the right part displays response data.
In SOAP UI assertion functionality is used to validate the response of request received by the Test Steps at the time of execution. It is used to compare a part of message to some expected value.
Select a WSDL file in the Project Navigator view. Right-click the WSDL file, and select Validate.
For SOAP responses, the schema compliance assertion is straightforward to use and can be very useful. It works by validating the response XML against the schema types as defined or imported in the WSDL. Depending on the strictness of your XSD, this allows you to check the structure and content with one assertion.
Schema errors occur where there is a problem with the structure or order of the file, or an invalid character is included. Schema errors prevent the validation being run in full because the file cannot be read. This means that errors cannot be traced to a particular record.
Schema Validation. The Enterprise Gateway can check that XML messages conform to the structure or format expected by the Web Service by validating those requests against XML Schemas. An XML Schema precisely defines the elements and attributes that constitute an instance XML document.
JSON Schema is a vocabulary that allows you to annotate and validate JSON documents. It describes your existing data format with clear, human- and machine-readable documentation for complete structural validation, useful for automated testing and validating client-submitted data.
An XML schema represents the interrelationship between the attributes and elements of an XML object (for example, a document or a portion of a document). The process of creating a schema for a document involves analyzing its structure and defining each structural element encountered.
