In the section, click into the header or footer of the section. In the Header & Footer Design Tools menu, select Page Number -→ Format Page Numbers In the Page Numbering section, select “Continue from Previous Section”.
Open any document in Google Docs on your smartphone or tablet. Tap on the Edit button (the pen icon). Tap in the Insert button (the plus icon). Tap the Page Number option (usually the last option on the list).
Select Insert > Header & page number > Page number. Choose to add page numbers to the header of every page except the first page or to add page numbers to the footer of every page except the first page.
Open up your document and head to Insert > Header & Page Number > Page Number. You'll see a pop-up window where you can choose a page number style. You have four options for how page numbers can appear: Add page numbers to the top-right of every page.
To add page numbers to your Word document, switch over to the Insert tab on the Ribbon and then click the Page Number button in the Header & Footer section. A drop-down menu shows several options for where you'd like the page numbers to appear top of the page, bottom of the page, and so on.
