For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Salary requirements can be included in your cover letter with sentences such as “My salary requirement is negotiable based upon the job responsibilities and the total compensation package,” or “My salary requirement is in the $40,000 to $45,000+ range.”
What to Put for Desired Salary on Job Applications. The best way to answer desired salary or salary expectations on a job application is to leave the field blank or write 'Negotiable' rather than providing a number. If the application doesn't accept non-numerical text, then enter 999, or 000.
Salary requirements can be included in your cover letter with sentences such as “My salary requirement is negotiable based upon the job responsibilities and the total compensation package,” or “My salary requirement is in the $40,000 to $45,000+ range.”
When asked: What are your salary expectations for the job? This is a great opportunity to sell yourself while putting the pressure on the organization to make a fair offer by saying something along the lines of: I'm more interested in finding a position that's a good fit for my skills and interests.
Employers will want to get a 'good deal' out of hiring someone. Stating a fixed salary on the job advertisement reduces the chance of that happening for them. If two equally skilled and likeable candidates are being considered for a role, they will likely want to go for the one that is prepared to work for less money.
This lower number should be the bottom of your range. For example, if $30,000 is the lowest you would like to go, state in your cover letter the following: My salary requirement is in the $30,000 40,000+ range. You could also say that it's negotiable based upon the responsibilities and total compensation package.
Choose the cover letter or resume. Most advisors recommend including the salary history in a statement in your cover letter rather than on your resume. In your cover letter, include it near the end of your letter. On the resume, you can add it as a section under your experience.
Separate Document Add in a few accomplishments after each job title then list your starting and ending salaries. Mention benefits received including health insurance, retirement benefits, stocks and bonuses. The idea is to tie your pay to the role you played and the goals you achieved while there.
