For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
The term you are looking for is personification, which means the giving of physical or human characteristics to ideas, thoughts or inanimate objects. Wonderful beginner examples of personification can be found in William Wordsworth's poem, “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud”. I listed some examples for you.
Put simply, Synesthesia is a neurological condition where the senses are confused. So someone with it, may smell a taste, or see a particular color when thinking of a specific number. Some people have a form of Synesthesia known as Personification. This is when a personality or emotion is attributed to an object.
Object sexuality or objectophilia is a form of sexual or romantic attraction focused on particular inanimate objects. Individuals with this attraction may have strong feelings of love and commitment to certain items or structures of their fixation.
In adulthood it's called anthropomorphism. Big work that simply means a person believes inanimate objects have feelings. Adults who believe that objects have feelings tend to be very lonely and lack social connections and will substitute inanimate objects in their place.
A logical mind KNOWS that inanimate objects cannot feel, but one may have such empathy for all things — living or not — that one may attribute human feelings and emotions to them and an emotional brain does this automatically.
Personification is weird yet entirely natural. It's the odd practice of pretending things are people. When we personify, we apply human attributes to inanimate objects, to nature, to animals, or to abstract concepts, sometimes complete with dramatic stories about their social roles, emotions and intentions.
Difference Between Anthropomorphism and Personification However, there is a slight difference between these two. Personification is an act of giving human characteristics to animals or objects to create imagery, while anthropomorphism aims to make an animal or object behave and appear like it is a human being.
Personification and anthropomorphism are often confused because both terms have similar meanings. Anthropomorphism refers to something nonhuman behaving as human, while personification gives particular human traits to nonhuman or abstract things, or represents a quality or concept in human form.
