What is affix stamp mean?
affix a stamp to a letter. : to attach in any way : add, append. affix a signature to a document.
Does a stamp go vertical or horizontal?
Can you put a stamp upside down? Upright, Sideways, Upside down - it doesn't matter. However, it's a good idea to put it ABOVE the address. The phosphor tagging on the stamp allows the sorter/canceller machine to rotate/flip the envelope so the stamp is at the top.
How do you affix a stamp?
A stamp: Place a stamp in the top right-hand corner of your envelope. Destination address: Who are you sending the letter to? The destination address, or the address of the person you're sending a letter to, goes in the center of your envelope.
How do you affix a postage stamp?
Attach the stamp to the envelope. If you are using sticker stamps, peel the paper off the back of the stamp. If you are using lickable stamps, lick the back of the stamp. Put the stamp on the top right corner of the envelope. This will allow the postage scanning equipment to read the envelope and process it.

Affix your stamps securely, but do not put tape over the stamp(s) — this invalidates the postage. If your envelope is textured, or contains decorative fibers or floral inclusions, you may want to secure the postage using a glue stick.
