I have to tell my dr. to use this. Tired of his hand-printed & copied over & over stuff & can fax it immediately since he snail mails everything. Highly recommend to anyone who can use all the features. Added plus is that it's so easy to use. It eliminates paper, toner and postage and well worth the price for anyone who needs all the bells & whistles (which he does!!). Thank you, PDFfiller !!

Ingredient List. This tells you each ingredient in the food product by its common or usual name. Did you know that the ingredients are listed in descending order by weight? That is, the ingredient that weighs the most is listed first, and the ingredient that weighs the least is listed last.
Most pre-packed foods have a nutrition label on the back or side of the packaging. These labels include information on energy in kilojoules (kJ) and kilocalories (kcal), usually referred to as calories. They also include information on fat, saturates (saturated fat), carbohydrate, sugars, protein and salt.
The 5/20 Rule (Purple) Always remember the 5/20 rule: 5% or less of bad nutrients and 20% or more of the good ones! 5% DV or less is considered low (aim low for total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, and sodium) and 20% DV or more is high (aim high for vitamins, minerals and fiber).
Nutrients to get less of are saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, and sodium. 20% Daily Value (DV) or more is high for nutrients you want to get more of, choose foods with a high % DV. Nutrients to get more of are fiber, vitamins A & C, calcium and iron.
A general rule is that a Percent Daily Value of 5 percent or less is considered low and 20 percent or more is high. If you consume more than one serving be sure to adjust the daily values depending on how much you consume.
Percent Daily Value (HDV) The HDV is a general guide to help you link nutrients in one serving of food to their contribution to your total daily diet. It can help you determine if food is high or low in a nutrient: 5% or less is low, 20% or more is high.
Percent Daily Value (DV) on the Nutrition Facts label is a guide to the nutrients in one serving of food. For example, if the label lists 15% for calcium, it means that one serving provides 15% of the calcium you need each day. DV s are based on a 2,000-calorie diet for healthy adults.
dividing the amount of a nutrient in a serving size by its daily value, then. Multiplying that number by 100.
