In the document, click where you want to insert a section break. On the Layout tab, under Page Setup, click Break, and then click the kind of section break that you want. The following table shows examples of the types of section breaks that you can insert.
Place the insertion point where you want the section break. Choose the Page Layout tab. Click the down-arrow next to the Breaks button. A menu appears. Click the type of section break you want. Word inserts the section break.
Place the cursor at left-top of the page, then click Insert > Table, select 2×2 Table. The table has been inserted, then drag right-corner of the table to resize it as you need. Insert texts into the columns and rows separately.
Open a new document and set the paper orientation and margins the way you want. Insert a three-column, single-row table in your document. Remove the borders around the table, if desired. Format the second (center) column to be rather narrow. Adjust the width of the other columns as desired.
Of this type there are four kinds: next page section breaks, continuous section breaks, even page section breaks, and odd page section breaks.
Place the insertion point where you want to create the break. On the Page Layout tab, click the Breaks command, then select the desired section break from the drop-down menu that appears. A section break will appear in the document.
Unfortunately, there is no intrinsic way to delete section breaks and maintain the formatting represented by that break. There is a workaround you can use, however: Place the insertion point at the end of the document, just after the final section break.
