To format your range as “Plain text”, you have to select your range and then go to “Format” menu, then in “Number”, click on “Plain text” Have a look at the following screenshot: After formatting your range, you can put your data into it. And it will remain as plain text.

You can download a Document, or word processing file from Google Docs, as a text file, with the standard. Txt files from Google Docs — you have to convert them to Docs' own house format to view, or edit, those files.
Open a document. Highlight the text you want to change. In the bar above the text, select the font, font size, paragraph spacing, text color, background color, or any other aspect you'd like to change. Select Format.
On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. In a spreadsheet, copy the content you want to paste. Paste the content in the same spreadsheet. By default, the original formatting of the content will stay the same. To change the formatting, click Paste. Choose an option:
Select the column(s) that you want to fit to the text inside them. Right click at the top of a selected column, then click “Resize column” Click “Fit to data, then click, “OK”
Select the cell with the text to be wrapped. Open the “Text wrapping” menu, from either the toolbar or the “Format” menu. Select “Wrap” (Optional)- Adjust the column width so that the text fits exactly how you want it to.
With a text cell selected, choose the Format | Text Wrapping | Overflow option. Text in a cell overflows adjacent blank cells. This is the default. In a text-heavy Google Sheet, you can choose Format | Text Wrapping | Wrap to make it, so every word in a cell is displayed.
