Though perhaps a bit expensive, PDFfiller.com is extremely well-designed, feature-rich and easy to use. While I have no complaints about the basic product, I was bothered by design feature that seemed to insist that I enroll in a more expensive tier of service without giving me the chance to opt out or cancel. Any popup page that requires a user to select - and pay for! - a more expensive service level should always include "close" and "cancel" options. While I'm still a bit troubled by this aspect of PDFfiller's site design, when I raised the issue with your support staff, Ellilou Ilano quickly responded and helped resolve my problem.

Exactly what we came up with ourselves when we divided the number of pixels wide and the number of pixels high by 72 pixels per inch (the resolution). And that's really all that image resolution is.
Image resolution is the detail an image holds. The term applies to raster digital images, film images, and other types of images. Higher resolution means more image detail. ... A resolution of 10 lines per millimeter means 5 dark lines alternating with 5 light lines, or 5 line pairs per millimeter (5 LP/mm).
Spatial resolution is a measure of the smallest object that can be resolved by the sensor, or the ground area imaged for the instantaneous field of view (IFO) of the sensor, or the linear dimension on the ground represented by each pixel. From: Advanced Remote Sensing, 2012.
Size and resolution of images are inversely proportional to each other. Scaling images up in a layout program will decrease the output resolution of the image at the same percentage of the scale. Optimal image resolution for printing is 300 dpi.
Image resolution describes the image's level of detail higher resolution means more image detail. In digital imaging, the resolution is often measured as a pixel count. ... The measurement describes the number of samples or pixels both horizontally and vertically in each square inch scanned.
Pixel dimensions measure the total number of pixels along an image's width and height. Resolution is the fineness of detail in a bitmap image and is measured in pixels per inch (PPI). The more pixels per inch, the greater the resolution. ... Pixel dimensions equal document (output) size times resolution.
Size your images for their use Don't confuse image size with file size. The resolution and quality of an image affects file size, and file size can affect effectiveness for a specific use. ... Likewise, if you use a small image and make it larger in a report, it will distort and become pixelated or fuzzy when you print it.
Image Size is the term given to describe the height and width of an image in pixels. Maximum Image Size is determined by the megapixels of a given camera — for example, a 10-megapixel camera will give a maximum image size of 2592 by 3872 pixels.
Count your pixels Hi-res images are at least 300 pixels per inch (PPI). This resolution makes for good print quality, and is pretty much a requirement for anything that you want hard copies of, especially to represent your brand or other important printed materials.
