Once you've registered your account, sign into Connect by going to your section Web address provided by your instructor (A). Or go to connect.mcgraw-hill.com (B) and enter your email and password into the sign in form. Then click SIGN IN.
If you want to highlight one word at a time, press Ctrl key while holding down Shift, and then press the left or right arrow key. If you want to highlight a whole line of text, move your cursor to the start of the line, hold the Shift key, and then press the down arrow.
Press the "Right-arrow" key while keeping the "Shift" key held down. Notice that each time that you press the "Right-arrow" key, a character is highlighted. If you want to highlight a large amount of text, simply hold down the "Right-arrow" key while pressing the "Shift" key.
For example, to copy text, you can highlight text and press the Ctrl+C shortcut. The shortcut is faster than moving your hands from the keyboard, highlighting with the mouse, choosing copy from the file menu, and then returning to the keyboard.
