Great tool to simply fill out PDF Nothing super fancy but a stable, well purposed PDF editor that has easy access to upload and download PDFs. Easy to upload and download PDFs for simple editing tasks. Whether wanting to fill out with text or signatures, very simple to edit freely on a PDF. How do I black out something in Word?

Double-click the Word document that you want to redact in order to open it in Word. Select the text you want to redact. Click and drag your cursor across the text you want to redact to do so. Drop-down arrow to the right of the ab highlighter bar, which is in the “Font” section of the Home tab.

Can you redact in Microsoft Word?

Microsoft created the Complex redaction tool for Word 2007 and Word 2010, but Microsoft no longer supports this program. You highlight the words you want to redact and click the Mark button. You can do a search for a specific word(s) in order to mark them all for redaction.

How do I black out text in a Word document?

Running the installation again seemed to work. Once you have installed the Word 2007 Redaction Tool, a Redact group is added to the Review tab. To redact, or black out, private text in your document, you first need to mark the text to be redacted. To do this, highlight the desired text and click the Mark button.
