Click inside the cell of the spreadsheet where you want to insert the object. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Object. Click the Creation from File tab. Click Browse, and select the file you want to insert.
In Excel, click the File tab. Click Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings, and then click External Content. Click the option that you want under Security settings for Data Connections:
Click the File Tab (top-left most tab in the window) Click the Excel Options button. Click Trust Center in the menu on the left. Click Trust Center Settings in the window on the right. In the new window that opens click Macro Settings in the menu on the left. Select Enable all macros.
Use the =HYPERLINK() function. If you use this function, the hyperlinks will not break. Disable the updating of these links in the Excel client, by going to Excel Options > Advanced > General > Web Options > File names and locations > and uncheck Update links on save.
Right mouse click on the image and select “Size and Properties”. On the properties tab select “Don't move or size with cells” and be sure that “Locked” is checked. When you protect your sheet users will not be able to select the picture.
