I was shocked to learn AFTER I PAID that the "monthly" payment touted in 3 big choice boxes was ONLY and effective cost IF I paid an annual fee IN FULL. THAT WAS NOT CLEAR and I feel duped. However, I am extremely pleased with what you offer AND the ease of using your site. It is well worth the 29.99/month vs what I thought was 9.99. You really need to make that clear for your customers, though. Don't start a customer relationship with the customer feeling duped or tricked.

However, the typical builder warranty lasts six months to two years, with some lasting up to 10 years for “major structural defects” like an unsafe roof. While there are differences in warranties from builder to builder, in general, they should cover all of a home's materials and workmanship.
A home warranty applies to existing properties and covers appliances (like the oven, range, and garbage disposal) and household systems (like electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling). And while a builder warranty is provided by the builder (makes sense, right?), a home warranty is purchased by the buyers.

Dear Rutan, Most builder warranties cover material and workmanship on a new home for one to two years, with coverage that lasts as long as 10 years on major structural elements. There's much to be wary of these days in the world of new-home warranties.
Structural Warranty functions basically in the case of new homes, wherein the builder assures that the home he has built will have no structural defects for a period of ten years after its construction.
Yes. We offer fully transferable warranties. If the original home buyer sells their home before the 1, 2 or 10 year coverage is complete, this protection can be transferred to the new owner.
Domestic building insurance covers costs up to $300,000 to fix structural defects for six years, and non-structural defects for two years.

By expanding warranty coverage for a property, a 10-year warranty protects homeowners from catastrophic costs that could occur after a traditional builders warranty expires. This type of extended warranty protection also helps to confirm a buyer's confidence in the quality of a builder's work.
Coverage is provided for workmanship and materials on most components during the first year. For example, most warranties on new construction cover siding and stucco, doors and trim, and drywall and paint during the first year. Coverage for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is generally two years.
