Following my previous comment, I found the tax forms I was working on, but they were titled by the Form, not saved documents. Taking me well over an hour due to the labeling. Need a Saved Documents Option to simplify it.

How can I get gazetted officer from attestation?
Character certificate can only be attested by Police record verification and Group A gazetted officer. For copies of original documents, both Group A and Group B officers can attest the documents. The name, designation and contact number of the gazetted officer should be clearly mentioned.

What is meant by attested by gazetted officer?
Who is a gazetted officer? A Gazette officer is a person who is an officer in the Indian Government service, the signature, stamp and official seal of which is necessary for verifying and attesting the important documents certified copies and/or photographs of the person for the central and state government.
Can a gazetted officer attest his brother document?
A Gazetted Officer does not include any officers of Notary, Nagar Sea, etc. Only officers of Group A and Group B can attest the documents. It can only be done by Group A gazetted officer only who are under the rank of Secretary/Dy. Director (Level 11 and above), for example, Sub-divisional Magistrate, etc.
Can my father attest my documents?
If a parent or relative does attest such a document then that is an act done by him in the capacity of the powers vested in him to do the said Act. If the parent or relative does any wrong attestation then he can be prosecuted under the provisions of law.
Can advocate attest documents in India?
Notaries are empowered to certify copies of document Now a lawyer/advocate is nowhere under the law empowered to attest or certify copies of documents as true copies of the original under the provisions of The Indian Advocates Act. These powers are vested in Notaries under The Indian Notary Act.
Who can attest documents in India?
In India attestation of copies of original documents can be attested by Group A and B (Gazetted) officers. Further, magisterial functions of attesting affidavits etc. can be discharged by magistrates, and they belong to the managerial or highest class of Govt. servants of class A gazetted Officers.
Who are all eligible for attestation?
The Headmaster/ Headmistress/ Principal of Government colleges are eligible for attestation of the documents. The seal should contain Name of the person, College/ School Name and Place of the College/ School. The attestation by Headmaster / Headmistress / Principal of Private School / Colleges will not be considered.
