I thought I would use the free trial and then cancel... I have found myself using it over and over again. It has saved me lots of paper and much time.

Good so far; expensive, however, AND when I agreed to your discounted one year offer when I intended to cancel after one month, I didn't realize the sum offered was in addition to the $20 one month fee, so it didn't turn out to be such a great deal after all. I was canceling, because I honestly don't see myself using this much more if even ever again. However, for the discounted rate (WITHOUT the $20 added in), I thought 'why not?' I am going to evaluate over the next couple weeks to see if I really DO want to continue a subscription, discount or otherwise.

Almost the only people who are allowed to request certified copies of marriage certificates are the two people named on the certificate, spouses of the people married by the certificate (in the event that both parties on the document are no longer married), and immediate family members (parents, grandparents, children,
Vital Records: Birth, Death And Marriage Certificates Notaries are often asked if they can certify copies of birth, death or marriage certificates. As a general rule the answer is no because these documents are vital records public records that cannot be certified by a Notary Public.
You cannot notarize an original marriage document. You may have a copy of an original marriage document certified by document custodian by process of an affidavit that YOU make, stating the copy is a true and correct copy of the original. Notaries Public do not notarize documents.
Your customer should request a certified copy from the official custodian of that record, such as the registrar of vital records or the county clerk/recorder. If a customer asks you to certify/attest a photocopy of a document that is not yet recorded, but that will be recorded, you should decline the request.
Notarized Copy and Certified Copy are used interchangeably. A certified copy does not verify the authenticity of the original document, only that the copy is a true copy of what appears to be an original document to the Notary Public. Of course, Certified Copies can only be made of documents that are original.
Notaries are not permitted to certify copies of public documents, especially vital statistics. A notary may not notarize a certified true copy of a recordable document. Birth certificates and marriage licenses are recordable documents.
Can a notary certify a marriage certificate? Generally the answer is no. And only the state agency where vital records are kept can issue a certified copy of the certificate. However, a notary can notarize the signatures on the document.
If you choose to go to a Notary Public for your marriage ceremony, keep in mind that you don't need witnesses present. Some states' marriage licenses will have a space for witnesses to sign, but in most cases the newlywed couple can choose to have a secret ceremony just them and their chosen Notary Public.
