Where do I find the error log?

Click Windows Start button > Type event in Search programs and files field. Select Event Viewer. Navigate to Windows Logs > Application, and then find the latest event with Error in the Level column and Application Error in the Source column. Copy the text on the General tab.

How do I view a log file?

Click the General Properties tab. View the bottom of the window. IIS displays the format and location of the log files that are generated. You can open and view the file and viewed with Worded, Microsoft Word, or another text file viewer.

How do I view error logs in putty?
