Though perhaps a bit expensive, PDFfiller.com is extremely well-designed, feature-rich and easy to use. While I have no complaints about the basic product, I was bothered by design feature that seemed to insist that I enroll in a more expensive tier of service without giving me the chance to opt out or cancel. Any popup page that requires a user to select - and pay for! - a more expensive service level should always include "close" and "cancel" options. While I'm still a bit troubled by this aspect of PDFfiller's site design, when I raised the issue with your support staff, Ellilou Ilano quickly responded and helped resolve my problem.

This service is usually provided for a monthly cost that is based on a merchant's average monthly dollar amount of returned check payments.
A paying bank returns a check expeditiously if it returns the check to the depository bank within two business days of presentment. (There are no longer any checks subject to the four-day test because there are no non-local checks).
Generally, a check can be returned for a forged drawer's signature up to midnight of the banking day following the banking day of presentment. The same time frame applies to counterfeit checks. For an alteration, the time frame may be one year.
That said, you can return a check for missing endorsement within your bank's midnight deadline. After that, you will need the appropriate affidavit, and you'll send the check directly in a claim without entry against the warranties. In most states, such a claim must be made within three years.
