Took me a while to figure out how to… Took me a while to figure out how to delete an entire page. My one suggestion would be to leave the previously used tool activated. I get tired of having to click on "eraser" when I'm trying to erase multiple blotches on a scanned article.

These are the Five elements of the Hazard Communication Standard. They are: Chemical Inventory, Written Program, Labels, Material Safety Data Sheets, and Training. The first element of the Hazard Communication Standard is for employers to develop inventories of all the hazardous chemicals they have at their worksite.
The program must include labels on containers of hazardous chemicals, safety data sheets (DSS) for hazardous chemicals, and training for workers. Each employer must also describe in a written program how it will meet the requirements of the HCS in each of these areas. Employers can implement an effective hazard.
The purpose of the NIH Hazard Communication Program (NIH HCP) is to increase employee awareness of hazardous chemicals used in the workplace so that they can recognize known and potential hazards and take proactive measures to minimize harm to themselves, others, and the environment.

Step ONE: Know the standard and identify who will manage it. Step TWO: Prepare and implement a written plan. Step THREE: Ensure chemical containers are labeled. Step FOUR: Maintain your Safety Data Sheets (DSS) Step FIVE: Inform and train employees. Step SIX: Evaluate and reassess your program.
Employees must be trained on how to detect hazardous chemicals, the hazards located in their work area, how to protect themselves against the hazards, and the hazard communication program. New training is not required for all new chemicals, but only when a new type of hazard is introduced to the workplace.
(1) — Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area.
The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200(g)), revised in 2012, requires that the chemical manufacturer, distributor, or importer provide Safety Data Sheets (DSS) (formerly MSDS or Material Safety Data Sheets) for each hazardous chemical to downstream users to communicate information on these hazards.
