Step 1: Launch Settings app on your iPhone and tap your Apple ID (sign in if you haven't already). Step 2: Now navigate to iCloud and turn off the Contacts option. Once you do this, a deletion message will appear telling you that the contacts on your iPhone will be deleted. Step 3: Select Delete from My iPhone option.
If you want to delete multiple contacts at once on your iPhone, you will have to download an app from the App Store. Step 2: Launch the app and go to the Contacts tab, then tap the Select button. Step 3: Select the contacts you want to delete, then tap on the small trash can icon in the lower right corner.
Open the Cleanup Duplicate Contacts app. Go to Contacts to view your entire list. Select a contact by tapping on the pencil icon in the top right. Tap to select the contacts you want to delete. Hit the trash can button located at the bottom.

To delete a number from a contact on Android, launch the Contacts app, tap the name of the contact and then tap the Edit icon in the upper-right corner of your screen. The Edit icon resembles a pencil. Tap the phone number you want to delete and then tap the “-" icon located next to it.
You can then choose specifically which contacts you want to delete and press delete at the end. Once done, go to your Android settings > Accounts > Google > Contacts and start syncing by tapping on it. Now all of your Google accounts will be cleaned as the app has deleted empty contacts.
Disable syncing by going to Settings > Accounts > Google. Select your Google account and uncheck Sync Contacts. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Contacts > Storage and select Clear data. Note: This will also clear other data like your recent calls and Favorites.
