How to Comment on a PDF

pdfFiller makes it easy to comment any document online. You can type anywhere, highlight, redact or erase words and phrases, add signatures, images, sticky notes or customized watermarks without any coding.

To get started, go to MY DOCS and select a file to be opened in the pdfFiller editor.

Across the top you’ll see a PDF toolbar. Click on a tool icon to select it, then mouse over the area on your file where you want to place it and click again. Click on the Text button to start typing or insert your sentences by dragging the text box. You can change the font type, text size or color by clicking the corresponding icons in the toolbar. Make your words bold, italic or underline it using the B, I and U icons respectively.

pdfFiller’s online editor allows you to quickly sign your form. Press the Sign button and choose how you’d like to add your signature. You can draw it with your finger or mouse, upload it from your computer or capture it with a smartphone or webcam.

Select the corresponding option on the Edit tab to highlight or erase the phrases. To obscure words or phrases choose the blackout tool.

Use the tab on the right to number pages, add a watermark or view the revision history by clicking the VERSIONS tab.

When you’ve finished editing your file, click DONE. Now you can email, print or save your file.

How to Comment a PDF?

To comment a PDF online, upload a file to your account or choose an existing form.

Choose the 'Text' button in the 'Edit' tab and start typing. You can place text by moving the text box.

Click the 'Signature' or the 'Picture' button to sign your document or insert an image. You can also add sticky notes, comments or text boxes to any PDF file.

Click the 'Tools' tab and edit the PDF by highlighting, redacting or erasing any text or image.

To comment your PDF further, click the 'Watermark' and the 'Versions' tabs on the right or the 'Pages' tab on the left.

When you're done with editing, click the 'Done' button and email, print or save your document.

PDFs made easy Since using PDFfiller, I haven't seen any PDF I can't tackle This software allows me to edit any PDF unlike Acrobat Reader. Has other useful functionalities such as sending PDF's to clients for e-signature, merging/extracting/compressing pages as well. I do not think this software needs any improvements. It helps ease my workload immensely each week.

PDFfiller is the best program to view and edit PDF documents. It is a tool for professionals. This program provides efficiency and quality at a very affordable price. Is it worth the investment. The one year package is very good. I recommend it. PDFfiller is a very useful application to send and receive files in PDF format, create refillable forms and sign documents in a very simple way. Its "autocomplete" function makes the job easier. It is a very light software that does not occupy a large space in our team. Sometimes pop-ups become a headache. They are somewhat uncomfortable. How do you comment on a PDF document?

Choose Tools > Comment. Draw in the PDF: To edit or resize the markup, select it and drag one of the handles to make your adjustments. To add a pop-up note to the markup, select the Hand tool, and double-click the markup. (Optional) Click the close button in the pop-up note.

Can you print a document with comments?

Open a document that has comments. If the comments option doesn't show immediately, go to Review > Show Markup, and select only Comments from the list. You can choose to print comments from one specific reviewer by selecting the reviewer under Specific people. Your document will print with comments.

Why can't I print my PDF document?

If you have the original source file that the PDF was created from, recreate the PDF. Open the file in the original program (such as a word processing or a page layout program). Choose File > Print, and then choose the option to save the file as a PDF. Open the new PDF, and try printing again.

Can a PDF document be printed?

Using the Print feature, save or share hard copies of your PDF documents. Open your PDF document. Select the icon on the toolbar. From the menu bar select File and choose Print.
