Like an acknowledgement, a signature witnessing requires the signer to physically appear before a Notary and be identified as required by state law. They key difference is that for a signature witnessing, the signer must always sign the document in the Notary's presence.
What is the definition of a signature witnessing?
Signature Witnessing means a notarial act in which an individual: (a) appears in person before a notary and presents a document. (b) provides the notary satisfactory evidence of the individual's identity, or is personally known to.
What is part of witnessing a signature?
