The Portable Document Format or PDF is one of the most popular document format for various reasons. It's accessible on any device, so you can share files between desktops and phones with different screen resolution and settings. You can open it on any computer or smartphone running any OS — it will appear exactly the same.

Data safety is another reason we would rather use PDF files for storing and sharing personal data and documents. PDF files can not only be password-protected, but analytics provided by an editing service, which allows document owners to identify those who’ve opened their documents and track any and all potential security breaches.
