From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Oeko-Tex is a registered trademark, representing the product labels and company certifications issued and other services provided by the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile and Leather Ecology (which also calls itself Oeko-Tex for short).
What does get certified mean?
GOT is a textile production certification that limits the use of toxic bleaches, dyes and other chemical inputs during the production process of textiles. GOT certification means that our products meet the very highest standards.
How do you get a got certified?
Textile processing, manufacturing and trading entities can apply for certification according to the Global Organic Textile Standard. Entities that wish to become certified are requested to contact an appropriate GOT approved certification body.

GOT is a global certification that covers “organic” textiles while OEKO-TEX is a global certification that covers “organic and non-organic” textiles. If a product holds a GOT or OEKO-TEX certification you can be confident that the product has gone through testing and is as safe as it can be for humans.

What is the difference between OCS and got?
The biggest difference is that the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOT) certification covers fiber and processing claims. A product must be at least 5% organic fiber to be certified and labelled to the OCS. Both GOT and OCS certification include recognizable logos and allow for on- or off-product labelling.
What is OK Tex made of?
However, fabric that is certified as Oeko-Tex Standard 100 does not mean the same as organic. To be certified organic, fabrics such as cotton, wool, bamboo, hemp, flax and other natural fibers must be grown and produced under stringent standards that relate to the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.
