Talk About The Features. When approaching a client over your logo design do not ask what do you think about it. Refer To The Goals. Get A Clear Brief. Present The Logo In Practical Situations. Use Right Lockups. Use Slides. Stay Calm.
Know your audience. Know who you're presenting to. Summarize the brief. Start with re-capping why you've done the work. Share your insights. Show the design. State the design's intent. Gather feedback.
Don't add too many colors. Color is a good thing, of course, but when it comes to logo design, it's best to keep it in check. Do disconnect images from text. Don't pick the wrong font. Do drop the drop shadows. Don't use clip art. Do avoid unnecessary words.
