The iPhone's new parental controls can limit who kids can call, text and FaceTime and when. With the release of iOS 13.3, parents will for the first time be able to set limits over who kids can talk to and text with during certain hours of the day. These limits will apply across phone calls, Messages and FaceTime.
Texts: In the fall of 2015, Google made changes to the Android operating system with the release of Android 5. X that no longer allows the blocking of text messages. So we can only notify Parents when certain numbers text your child and/or your child texts certain numbers.
Outpace's App Rules feature allows parents to block messaging and SMS text apps on Android devices. App Rules is an essential feature, allowing parents to set limits on when kids and teens can send or receive text messages from iOS or Android devices.
Go to Settings and tap Screen Time. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions. If asked, enter your passcode. Under Allow Changes, select the features or settings you want to allow changes to and choose To allow or Don't Allow.
In restrictions, under general in the settings' app, you will want to prevent changes to Accounts about 2/3 of the way down the screen under ALLOW CHANGES text. Select “Don't Allow Changes” and then check that messages is now dimmed out in the settings' app.
Outpace is the only app that gives parents the ability to block iMessage on iOS. Using Outpace's App Rules feature, parents can set blocks, schedule or always allow access to iMessage and other messaging apps across iPhone, iPads, and touch.
Text only from your iPhone You can disable texting via the Messages app on your other devices, but you can also do so from your iPhone. Head to Settings > Messages and see how many devices you have listed for Text Message Forwarding. Just toggle off the devices you no longer want to use to receive and send texts.
Go to Settings and tap Screen Time. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions. If asked, enter your passcode. Tap Privacy, then choose the settings you want to restrict.
