The Hyundai 10-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Warranty covers the repairs or replacement of selected engine and transmission/transaxle components. The parts must have been originally manufactured or installed by Hyundai and be defective in material or factory workmanship.
Though Hyundai offers generous coverage, its warranty exclusions are standard as far as factory warranties are concerned. Hyundai's warranty does not cover: Regular maintenance (oil changes, cleaning, polishing, etc.) Regular maintenance items (wiper blades, brake pads, etc.)
This Hyundai warranty covers both the repairs and replacements of all the major powertrain components. Parts must be originally manufactured and/or installed by the automaker. With this coverage, you have protection for the engine, transmission, and transaxle.
Parts not covered by a new vehicle bumper to bumper warranty are mainly wear items i.e. parts of the vehicle that deteriorate through constant use. Not covered, are parts such as wipers, tires, brake pads, brake rotors, light bulbs, and window glass.
Lasting for five years or 60,000 miles (whichever comes first), the bumper-to-bumper warranty is the primary form of coverage new Hyundai models have for the first few years. This covers the replacement of any component found on the vehicle and the replacement of any Hyundai genuine replacement parts.
If you sell your vehicle while still under the 10-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, the warranty will be reduced to 5-year/60,000-mile coverage. Other Hyundai warranty terms and coverage periods, including Roadside Assistance, remain unchanged for subsequent owner(s).
10-Year / 100,000-Mile Covers repair or replacement of powertrain components (i.e., selected engine and transmission/transaxle components), originally manufactured or installed by Hyundai that are defective in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
