Not the easiest to figure out initially, and detailed instructions are a bit hard to come by, but it seems to do what I need it to do to make signable forms and merged PDF's.

For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
strike() function is used to convert a given string into date time object. It accepts two arguments: date (string) and format (used to specify the format. For e.g.: BY is used for specifying year) and returns a date time object.
Get the input date string. Convert it into java. Util. Instantiate the SimpleDateFormat class by passing the desired (new) format as string to its constructor. Invoke the format() method by passing the above obtained Date object as parameter.
old format = '20140716' datetimeobject = date time. Strptime(old format,'%Y%m%d') new format = datetimeobject. Strftime('%m-%d-%Y') print new format. 07-16-2014. Newformat2 = datetimeobject. Strftime('km/CD/BY') print newformat2. 07/16/2014.
We imported date time class from the date time module. The date time object containing current date and time is stored in now variable. The strike() method can be used to create formatted strings.
Drag down the column to select the dates you want to sort. Click Home tab > arrow under Sort & Filter, and then click Sort Oldest to Newest, or Sort Newest to Oldest.
To sort a Python date string list using the sort function, you'll have to convert the dates in objects and apply the sort on them. For this you can use the key named attribute of the sort function and provide it a lambda that creates a date time object for each date and compares them based on this date object.
Drag down the column to select the dates you want to sort. Click Home tab > arrow under Sort & Filter, and then click Sort Oldest to Newest, or Sort Newest to Oldest.
A standard order is often called ascending (corresponding to the fact that the standard order of numbers is ascending, i.e. A to Z, 0 to 9), the reverse order descending (Z to A, 9 to 0). For dates and times, ascending means that earlier values precede later ones e.g. 1/1/2000 will sort ahead of 1/1/2001.
