To edit one or more fields, select the field or fields (using the Shift key) you want to modify and then on the Actions toolbar, select Edit. You can make changes to the following fields: For Field Requirement, select whether it's optional, recommended, or required.
Select some text that has the same formatting characteristics you want applied to the form field. Press Ctrl+Shift+C. This copies the formatting to the Clipboard. Select the form field you want to format. Press Ctrl+Shift+V.
Choose the Field option from the Insert menu, then choose the field name from the list of fields presented. When you click your mouse on OK, the field you requested is inserted in your document. Press Ctrl+F9. (This is the easiest method, regardless of your version of Word.)
To edit a field's properties: Click the table name in the table bar of your app. Click Settings in the page bar, then click Fields on the Settings page. Click the field name to access its properties. Click the name of the field that you want to modify.
Access opens the table in Data sheet view. Select the field (the column) that you want to change. On the Fields tab, in the Properties group, click the arrow in the drop-down list next to Data Type, and then select a data type. Save your changes.
