I have to tell my dr. to use this. Tired of his hand-printed & copied over & over stuff & can fax it immediately since he snail mails everything. Highly recommend to anyone who can use all the features. Added plus is that it's so easy to use. It eliminates paper, toner and postage and well worth the price for anyone who needs all the bells & whistles (which he does!!). Thank you, PDFfiller !!

When a Company Can Fire You After You Give Notice In most cases, an employer can fire you and stop paying you immediately after you give notice. When a Company Can Fire You After You Give Notice In most cases, an employer can fire you and stop paying you immediately after you give notice. That's because most employees are considered employed at will, which means that the company can terminate you at any time for no reason (with a few exceptions).
Pay Requirements Generally, employers are obligated to pay employees only for hours actually worked. ... Therefore, you risk losing two weeks of pay when you provide an employer with notice and are immediately terminated. A good way to avoid this is to give no notice if you believe that your employer might fire you.
If you have worked for your employer for one month or more, the legal minimum amount of notice you must give is one week. Normally your employment contract will set out a longer notice period. ... This is an 'implied contract' as there is no written or verbal agreement, but is automatically provided by law.
There are no federal or state laws that require an employee to provide two weeks' notice to his or her employer before quitting. ... In spite of there not being a legal requirement, some employers may have company policies requiring their employees to give two weeks' notice.
Generally, companies will honor the two-week notice and pay the employee for the last two weeks even if the employer does not allow the employee to work during that time period. However, there is no federal law which requires the employer to pay employees or even allow them to work during that two-week notice period.
While it's perfectly legal for an employee to quit without reason and not provide two weeks' notice, some employers may have company policies requiring their employees to give two weeks' notice. ... They might offer severance pay or other benefits to employees who comply with the two weeks' notice policy.
You are entitled to be paid your wages for the hours you worked up to the date you quit your job. In general, it is unlawful to withhold pay (for example holiday pay) from workers who do not work their full notice unless a clear written term in the employment contract allows the employer to make deductions from pay.
Pay during the notice period. The person leaving should be paid as normal when they're working their notice period. This includes if they're willing to work, but the employer has asked them not to.
Your notice period during dismissal. Your job won't always end straight away if you're dismissed — you'll stay at work for a time and keep getting paid. This is called your notice period. It's usually at least a week long.
