This has been a wonderful resource for locating, filling out, filing and printing out documents. I don't understand how to make the most out of the system and wish I could get a little more help (for blondes). But overall, a great experience!

Credit card fraud is when someone uses your credit card or credit account to make a purchase you didn't authorize. This activity can happen in different ways: If you lose your credit card or have it stolen, it can be used to make purchases or other transactions, either in person or online.
When criminals get their hands on your credit card information, there are at least three things they can do with it: 1) Sell it to others online; 2) Use it to buy things online; or 3) Make a counterfeit card using your stolen credit card information.
Don't Share Your Card Number Where Others Can Hear Many legitimate financial transactions are conducted on the telephone, and may require you to verbally give your credit card number and other personal information.
Don't Email Your Card Number Any time you write or type your credit card number and give it to someone in an unsecured, unencrypted manner (including on a piece of paper), you increase your risk of exposure.
Ideally, you should NEVER use a debit card to make purchases on the web. No, it's not that the online shopping is not safe. It is safe. It is actually safer than the regular offline payments that you make -- these too you should not make with a debit card -- but there is something called planning for contingency.
Know that if you accept credit or debit cards, PCI Security Standards apply to you. Partner with a PCI-compliant payment processor, such as Stripe or Square. Use secure forms and appropriate form fields for collecting card data.
The bank is asking customers to cover their three little numbers on the back of their credit cards. It's not needed for over-the-counter transactions anyway. Use masking tape or stickers to cover the CVV found at the back of your card, so people can't easily copy or take pictures of it, the Aboitiz-owned bank said.
Under these circumstances, the only way to protect your debit or credit card from fraudulent CNP transactions is to memorize the CVV and then put a small opaque sticker on it or simply erase it from the card.
In general, providing a card security code when you're shopping online is safe, as long as you're making purchases from trusted websites. Typically, it's also OK to give a CVV over the phone. Just make sure no one is eavesdropping and can hear the numbers.
The 3-digit code, or CVV code, is an added check put in place for security. Whether the vendor accepts a card with a mismatched CVV code is up to them and their credit card processing company. Some vendors have set up their systems to issue an internal warning, but still process the payment.
First 6 digits for Visa and MasterCard are code numbers for the issuing bank. Any merchant is not obliged to require the CVV/CVV2. However, card payments with CVS can result in lesser interchange rates (merchant fees). Even if you cancel the reservation, your card will be charged for a little cancellation fees.
Dynamic CVV Filters These numbers are static. So, even if someone physically steals your credit or debit card, they can't use it because without the CVV they can't complete the transaction. While CVV filters, even if they're dynamic, won't completely eliminate fraudulent online payments, they can reduce the risk.
