With the exception of the scam you have going to get people to sign up for your service... (i.e., On a holiday I came into my office to get work done quickly so I could then spend time with my family. I was soo pleased with your service as it let me upload a document and seamlessly edit it for 2 hours and the peace of mind that everything was working properly as your program continually provided feedback saying that 'all changes have been saved'. Then when I finally finished, after triple checking my work and feeling thrilled that I could go celebrate the holiday and be with my family, I selected the big bright button that says, Done!. And only THEN, after 2 hours of work, did you tell me, there is an error and I need to sign up for your program. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I was so excited to tell other people about your program and how well it works. After being scammed, ripped off in terms of money and precious time, I won't be telling anyone about your service. If you prefer to keep me as a happy customer, perhaps you will find a way to make up for this inconvenience (e.g., give me a discounted membership, upgrade my membership, some other kind gesture?) and correct this misunderstanding that you are covertly enticing people to use your program with an inconsiderate scam. What is contract deposit?
The Contract Deposit is a security deposit the business can collect at the time of a contract sale. You have the ability to return this to the client as either a credit to their account or a refund.
What is a contract deposit when buying a house?
When you sign a contract, you'll also pay a deposit called earnest money, usually $500 to $5000, to show that you're serious about wanting to buy the house.
When buying a house when do you pay the deposit?
You will have to pay a deposit on exchange of contracts a few weeks before the purchase is completed and the money is received from the mortgage lender. The deposit is often 10% of the purchase price of the home, but it can vary.
How does earnest money work when buying a home?
Earnest money is just money you put down as a good-faith gesture that you're serious about buying a house. Typically, it's 1-5% of the purchase price. While you wait to close on your house, the money is deposited into an escrow account with the seller's broker, title company or escrow company.
How much do you have to put down on a contract?
The minimum down payment required by mortgage lenders is 3% of the house's price, and a 20% down payment is recommended by real estate agents.
