Dictionary Recommended Field Format: edit PDFs from anywhere

The Portable Document Format or PDF is a popular file format for business purposes, thanks to its accessibility. You can open them on any device, and they will be readable and writable identically. PDFs will always appear the same, regardless of whether you open them on a Mac, a Microsoft one or on smartphones.

Security is another reason we prefer to use PDF files to store and share private data and documents. PDF files are not only password-protected, but analytics provided by an editing service allows document owners to identify those who’ve read their documents and track any and all potential security breaches.

pdfFiller is an online editor that lets you create, modify, sign, and share your PDF directly from your browser. This platform integrates with major Arms and allows users to sign and edit documents from other services, such as Google Docs or Office 365. Work with the finished document yourself or share it with others by any convenient way — you'll get notified when someone opens and fills out the form.

Use editing features such as typing text, annotating, blacking out and highlighting. Add and edit visual content. Change a page order. Add fillable fields and send to sign. Ask other people to fill out the document and request an attachment if needed. Once a document is completed, download it to your device or save it to the third-party integration cloud.

Complete any document with pdfFiller in four steps:

01
Start with the pdfFiller uploader.
02
Click the Tools tab to use editing features such as text erasing, annotation, highlighting, etc.
03
To insert fillable fields, click the 'Add Fillable Fields' tab on the right and add them for text, signatures, images and more.
04
When you've finished editing, click the 'Done' button and save or email your document.
