It was confusing. I had sent a rental app to a client and I didn't know where to get the reply. When the customer called me she said she was unable to send it. Recently I needed to fill out several forms from my mortgage servicer. They emailed the forms in pdf format and wanted them signed and returned same day. Can you break a contract with a contractor?
Add a termination clause to each contract. For example, you could state that a contract can be terminated if a contractor fails to submit work on time. After an independent contractor signs a contract with you, keep a copy of the signed contract on file. Stop giving the independent contractor work to complete for you.
