Is it possible to restore a deleted draft mail? ... If you are composing an email and then accidentally deleted the entire email, you can just simply right click and then select Undo or press (Ctrl + z). You can also check your Deleted folder if the email that you wish to retrieve is still there.
2 Answers. As soon as you've (accidentally) hit the discard button you have the option to undo discard in the alert that appears at the top of the page. Click that! Or hit z (undo last action) if you have keyboard shortcuts enabled.
On a computer, open Gmail. You can't delete all messages from the Gmail app. In the top left, click the Down arrow. Click All. ... Click Delete.

Hold down the “Ctrl” button and press “Z.” This keyboard shortcut recovers deleted items, deleted text and moved items.
Simply press Command-Z. Not shore what you will hit for Windows. Probably Control Z or something. But it works and you and hit the undo key a number of times.
Explanation Edit Pressing Ctrl-u or Ctrl-w while in insert mode is just part of that single modification. After pressing Esc to return to Normal mode, if you press u you will undo all you're typing. Therefore, you have lost text deleted with Ctrl-u or Ctrl-w.
