welcome back to channel on today I'm going to be showing you how to disassemble an old mattress sometimes it's kind of hard to get rid of these but the metal it's not much of a problem to get rid of because you can take the metal back to any junk dealer and they'll take that for nothing and sometimes they'll give you a little money for another whole lot of weight there but you can get rid of them for nothing but as far as the rest of the mattress you can take it all apart to put in the trash bag and dispose of it that way so all you don't need for this generally is a utility knife and a couple of trash bags you may need a pair of side cutters depending on what self holding some of this together but pretty much all you're gonna need is the utility knife so let's go ahead and get started it doesn't really matter where you start I'm gonna start right here and I'm gonna kind of cut all the way around just like that it's going to reveal the the metal springs so just take your knife and go all the way around the entire mattress until you end up where you started then once you've done that just go ahead and pull this up and it's gonna be some clips holding it go ahead just rip those like that just gonna be a cool and do that all the way around she's gonna pull it out like that the other side now just continuing to bullet okay there's the top layer right there just pull that out put it in your trash bag alright next let's get the second layer off same thing might have to pull it off a little bit with a couple of clips they come right off good any kind of allergies or anything like that I wouldn't recommend you're doing this because you can't get a little dusty there's no too bad I'm in a well-ventilated garage okay go ahead get rid of that one now if you want before we turn it over each one of these corners it's gonna have some cushion you're going to want to need to remove that just kind of tucked in there yeah okay that's how it's done now if you don't have a harbor fridge scissor-lift to put it on you might want to put it on the table it's gonna be a little bit easier so now we can go ahead and put this over do the same thing well there you have it about two and a half bags of trash to get rid of that's easy to do just spit out next to the road good to go as far as the metal itself if you collect middle yourself you can just put this in your pile and take it can pay for it if not just put this up next to the road free somebody who does collect metal they'll go ahead and take it off before you with matches themselves so I know there's not a whole lot to this but I just wanted to show this off I've had to do this a multiple times and it's a lot easier doing it this way rather than having and sitting outside and collecting a lot of water then it's almost impossible to kind of get rid of taller well I hope you like it stay tuned for the next one
