learning was difficult at first, your how to video's are too fast for a 74 year old to absorb, but hands on usage got me going in the end. I had to enter an enormous amount of text in my PDF form, but the ability to resize text boxes was a boon. Thanks, Bob Harrison

For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
To reseal the leaky flange, you must first detach the garbage disposal. Start by loosening the screws securing the main drain pipe to the disposal, then loosen the screws in the metal clamp securing the dishwasher hose to the disposal and detach the drain pipe and dishwasher hose from the disposal.
First, turn off the power and unplug your garbage disposal. Disconnect your garbage disposal from under your sink. Remove any preexisting putty and reseal the area. Once you have resealed the area, you can now reconnect your garbage disposal.
Garbage disposals are connected to your sink with a flange and/or plumber's putty. If your garbage disposal is leaking out of the bottom (and not from higher up and just dripping to the bottom), the most likely cause is the actual garbage disposal itself. There are internal seals that wear out over time.

Your disposal being busted won't affect the dishwasher in any way what-so-ever. Water that goes down your sink and through your disposal doesn't go into your dishwasher, it goes down the drain and out of your house. The dishwasher gets clean water from the same source as your faucet.
If your garbage disposal is leaking out of the bottom (and not from higher up and just dripping to the bottom), the most likely cause is the actual garbage disposal itself. There are internal seals that wear out over time. A new garbage disposal is likely your best bet.
Garbage Disposal Leaking from Bottom Holes The most common cause is a damaged internal seal within the unit. Garbage disposals use internal seals to protect the motor and/or prevent the appliance from leaking. Over time, these seals wear out and are no longer able to perform their intended purpose.
If the bottom of the unit is leaking, replace the disposal. Leaks from the bottom of the garbage disposal (often from the reset button) commonly indicate that at least one seal on the interior shell of the unit that protects the motor has deteriorated, or that the shell itself has cracked.
