SSH2 is a more secure, efficient, and portable version of SSH that includes SFTP, which is functionally similar to FTP, but is SSH2 encrypted. Rather than validating identities via passwords, SSH2 can also use public key encryption to authenticate remote hosts.
The difference between SSH1 and SSH2 is they are two entirely different protocols. SSH1 and SSH2 encrypt at different parts of the packets, and SSH1 uses server and host keys to authenticate systems where SSH2 only uses host keys.
Port 22. The option Port specifies which port numbers the ssh2 daemon listens to for ssh incoming connection. The default port is 22.
