Provided you scanned the document properly, Microsoft OneNote will capture any images and text in the document and send them to Word, in which you can easily edit them.

On the File menu, click Open. Locate the document that you scanned, and then click Open. After Microsoft Office Document Imaging runs, press CTRL+A to select the entire document, and then press CTRL+C. Start Microsoft Word.
Open OneNote and then create a new document. Insert the scanned picture from your local drive by clicking “Insert” > “Picture”. Once the picture has been added right click and select “Copy Text From Picture”. Open a new Word Document to proceed forward with the process.
