This talk will show how to use the PDF file encryption technology, available from Microsoft, with VML for Microsoft Office to create effective PDF file-based business process invoices. In addition, an overview of a real estate company's workflow will be discussed, with a focus on the process-invoice interface and its interaction with the PDF file encrypting capability. This technology is available with Office 2007 SP1 and Office 2010, and enables real estate agents to encrypt business processes with the click of a button. In this talk (TBD: 10/27), I will present a practical approach to using PDF file encryption with VML for MS Office to securely encrypt and decrypt paper documents with the click of a button. This talk will cover encryption, which consists of two steps: first, data is encrypted using a strong public key, and the private part of the encryption key is made available for the private use (encrypted) by an appropriate user. Second, using a keylogger, data is decrypted using a strong decryption key (encrypted). This technology and approach is particularly suited for the real estate industry, where paper records are constantly changing, but where most of the data is typically encrypted before it even hits desk. The goal of this talk is to demonstrate how this technology can improve the efficiency of document management in a real estate transaction and the overall productivity, while reducing the risk, for both the realtor and the client.. What is Document Management? If you need to find out what is on file from a tenant, a prospective tenant or even one of your staff on the lease, this tool can make that process painless. With the free version you can only access documents up to 4 GB in size, however, you can upgrade to the full version to add more storage space and work with up to 20 TB of documents and be confident that access will only be temporary. By providing this tool the first ever way to secure your documents you are making sure that no one but you have access to them, and you are able to take the control back.. Your data is secure through SSL and Encryption, so your data is only accessible to our trusted agents so no one can read your private letters or emails on the cloud anywhere. For the first time, you will be able to edit, add annotations and annotations to your documents while you continue to interact with them using drag and drop file management tools. With a single click on a single PDF file, you can sign your documents with a unique identification from the digital signature application they used to create the PDF. With an Encryption service that was not previously available, you can now have complete confidence in that it can be fully accessed by any authorized user. Your documents can now be signed, authenticated, saved, and emailed by trusted agents. How to Sign PDFs for your Real Estate Agents You are an agent, and you have a PDF file you need signed. Create a signature, save the signature in a separate document, and upload it to GetPDFSign.com.

I spent approx $70 for PDF Filler, could not find a page rotate icon when I really needed it, then a screen popped up that I would have to spend $120 per year to have this additional function. I was in the midst of needing to reorient some legal documents so paid the additional money. I find this to be less than fair business practice as when I signed up there was no clear breakdown presented on the functions available for different costs.

I love it for the most part. Just wish I could send a document to a person without knowing their email (ex. directly to their Facebook account) with the ability to view and sign not edit the document. Other than that, it's been great!
