What do you like best?
We use PDFfiller primarily for tracking and completing registration forms for the advanced trainings we provide to mental health professionals across the country. Manually managing these forms was a nightmare as our business started to grow. Once we started using PDFfiller, it began incredibly easy and hassle free to monitor who was registered for which trainings and when. the integrated PayPal and Stripe systems make it super easy to allow customers to pay registration fees immediately and we are notified as soon as that happens. Also, PDFfiller offers a digital fax line. In today's day and age, we are completely wireless and adding a hardwired fax line would have been such a pain. For 10 bucks we are able to digitally send and receive faxes which is very helpful when dealing with physicians and other medical providers.
What do you dislike?
We have only had one real issue with PDFfiller. At some point a few months ago, we had some issues with the PayPal/Stripe payment integration. We were unable to send receipts to our customer which was rather frustrating for us and them because of the amount of money people spend to some to our trainings. I reached out to someone at PDFfiller and a manager responded the next business day and said they would get in touch with the team who handles that part to get it fixed. Though I did not hear back, within a week or so the problem was fixed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it. It is well worth the price for what you are getting.

Sending and receiving faxes through this program is a lifesaver. I am able to access them anywhere at any time whether I am in the office or out of town. It's also a great organizational tool for tracking out "link to fill" forms.

PDF filer Completing forms and getting them to whomever I choose. Ease of use. I love this software. I have a health issue that makes filling out forms quite difficult. With this software, I am able to complete any document. There is not much to dislike. So no comments on that.

Must comply with Detailed Written Order Requirements: The description can be either a narrative description (e.g., lightweight wheelchair base), a HOPES code, a HOPES code narrative, or a brand name/model number and all options and accessories that will be separately billed to Medicare.
Detailed written orders must include separately billable options, accessories or supplies related to the base item that is ordered. Detailed written orders must not be used to add unrelated items, whether requested by the beneficiary or not, in the absence of a dispensing order from the physician for that item.
According to Medicare, a physician order must include the following elements in order to be considered valid: Reason for ordering the test or service (diagnosis description, ICD-9 code, sign(s), symptoms) Test or service requested. Provider's name.
These items require a written order prior to delivery (WORD). A WORD is the standard Medicare detailed written order, which must be completed and in the DM EPOS supplier's possession BEFORE the item can be delivered.
AFFORDABLE CARE ACT (ACA 6407) 5-ELEMENT ORDER (5EO) The CMS regulation contains the details for the face-to-face examination, written order prior to delivery and the list of items subject to these requirements. 42 CFR 410.38(g) requires a specific written order prior to delivery for specified HOPES codes.
Durable medical equipment (DME) is any equipment that provides therapeutic benefits to a member because of certain medical conditions and/or illnesses that can withstand repeated use, is primarily and customarily used to serve a medical purpose, and is appropriate for use in the home.
DME Provider. The term 'Durable Medical Equipment' is usually intended for a continued period of time and includes equipment such as walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, bath chairs, prostheses, oxygen supplies etc.
Nationally, Nurse Practitioners have independently ordered durable medical equipment since 1997. Requiring NPS and other providers to get a physician's co-signature for DME orders creates unnecessary medical costs and delays for patients and providers.
When billing for durable medical equipment (DME), use the appropriate HOPES code and modifier(s) to describe the items being billed. Also include an ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnosis code indicating the medical condition for which the item has been prescribed.
Under what conditions may my physician assistant order durable medical equipment (DME)? A. In the past, it wasn't clear to DME suppliers that advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and physician assistants (PAs) had the authority to order DME.
