I needed fast, no nonsense access to CMS approved forms, HCFA1500 to be specific. This was fast, easy to use, and I can save my files to my pc. I can edit, print, e mail, fax, its great! I love it! I had questions on how to use certain edit features, I couldn't figure out, as I am not a computer "savy" person, I just get on, know what I have to do, and need it to work. The support team responded immediately to my questions and I knew I had 24-7 access to them which is important to me as I often work late at night. That is actually priceless. I use the pdf merge feature constantly. It's great for compiling packets, assorted documents, expense reports etc.

What is an appointment affidavit?
Appointment Affidavits (SF-61) This form is used on your first day of work when you take the Oath of Office. This form is NOT to be completed until you are sworn in. after you are sworn in, sign and date the affidavits.
What does conversion to excepted appointment mean?
A conversion changes an employee from one appointment to another appointment (under either the same or a different authority) in the same agency with no break in service or with a break of 3 days or less.
What does except appointment mean?
Excepted service positions are any federal or civil service positions which are not in the competitive service or the Senior Executive service. Excepted service agencies set their own qualification requirements and are not subject to the appointment, pay, and classification rules in title 5, United States Code.
Is competitive service better than excepted?
Whereas competitive service position openings often hire internally, only considering applicants who already work in the competitive service, excepted service positions are more often open to all applicants.
Does time in grade apply to excepted service?
The time-in-grade restriction does not apply to excepted service GS employees, although individual agencies can, at its discretion, require time in grade for their excepted service employees. This can be done through a competitive examination or under an agency's internal merit promotion procedures, as applicable.
Is TSA excepted service?
TSA is an Excepted Service agency exempt from most Title 5 United States Code, including regulations which apply to displaced Federal employees (CAP/ICAP) of other agencies, and employment with TSA does not confer “Competitive Status” that generally results from selection and service in Competitive Service
What is the difference between excepted and competitive service?
What is the Excepted Service? If you are in the excepted service, it means that you didn't have to undergo the same hiring process as federal employees in the competitive service. Simply put, the competitive service has to follow the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's hiring rules, pay scales, and so on.
