How to Extract Fillable Fields from PDF

With pdfFiller you can automatically extract specific data from multiple filled-in insurance policies, invoices and applications into an organized table or database. Use the extracted data to create new documents or securely store it in your pdfFiller account. To extract fillable fields in a PDF, select a completed document as a template and click Extract in Bulk on the right pane.

Define the fields with data you would like to extract. Click Add New Data Field in the upper right corner and draw a rectangle around the data you’d like to extract.

Enter a field name to easily identify the extracted information in an Excel Spreadsheet. When all the fields with the information you need are defined, click Save. On the next stage you can create, edit, delete, upload a new template or select an existing one. Click Extract in Bulk on the right.

Upload all documents (for example all W-2s) with similar data which you would like to include to data extraction by clicking Upload Documents.

Click the Start button to begin the data extraction process. When the data extraction is over, you can download the results by clicking Download Result.

I can take educational PDFS, and change items to apply to my young students. Even the younger teachers in my group will send me a PDF, and ask me to "Do your magic" on it. My "magic" is PDF filler! Wow....there isn't much I would change. It really works so very well. I might want to see a few more fonts available.

How to create fillable PDF files: Open Acrobat: Click on the “Tools” tab and select “Prepare Form.” Select a file or scan a document: Acrobat will automatically analyze your document and add form fields. Add new form fields: Use the top toolbar and adjust the layout using tools in the right pane. Save your fillable PDF:
Select the checkbox next to one or more documents, and perform one of the following menu selections: Select File > Download to download files in their original format. Select File > Download as PDF to download documents in PDF format.
To extract fillable fields in a PDF, select a completed document as a template and click Extract in Bulk on the right pane. Define the fields with data you would like to extract. Click Add New Data Field in the upper right corner and draw a rectangle around the data you'd like to extract.
Select how you would like to manage the PDF form fields: Assign to. Select the recipient to assign the fields to. Keep PDF form data. Select this option to convert the contents of the form fields from the original PDF form into a permanent, read-only part of your document. Delete data.
You can download document and field data from any of your sent documents. You can view and download envelope and field data from any in process, completed, or canceled envelope that you sent or is shared with you.
To start, after logging into your account, navigate to the Documents section and select 'New' to begin the document creation process. Next, upload the file you wish to make fillable. Once uploaded, use the form fields option to add text boxes, signature areas, checkboxes, and more as needed.
Upload the fillable PDF form from your computer, email, or file-sharing site (like Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive) to your library. In the library, highlight the form and then choose Sign and Send. At the Apply Form Fields prompt, choose Apply, which allows you to edit the fields in the PDF.
As you set up your agreement and upload a PDF with form fields, you choose how to handle the converted fields, including any data already entered: Assign all of the fields to a recipient; any data that was entered into the original form is included in the field.
